๐Ÿผ Feeding question

Combination feeding - am I doing it wrong?

Ava is 5 months and I've been combo feeding (breast + formula) since month 2 due to supply issues. She's gaining weight well but I keep getting comments about 'nipple confusion' and 'giving up too easily.' Is combo feeding really that bad? It's working for us but the guilt is real.

Combination feeding is absolutely a valid choice and you're doing great! Research shows that 'nipple confusion' is largely a myth - most babies can switch between breast and bottle without issues. What matters most is that your baby is fed, growing well, and thriving - which it sounds like Ava is! Combo feeding offers flexibility and can actually help extend your breastfeeding journey by reducing pressure and burnout. Every family's feeding journey is unique. Trust yourself and ignore the unsolicited opinions. You know what's best for your baby and your family.

Always consult your pediatrician for medical advice.

I combo fed both my kids and they're perfectly healthy. The 'nipple confusion' thing is mostly a myth. You're doing great!

Combo feeding is totally valid! Fed is best. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for doing what works for your family.
